LINC helps people who have experienced mental illness and addictions to live with their symptoms, while achieving their goals, so they can live a fulfilled and healthy life.

We help our clients to achieve independence and reintegrate back into the community, by providing support and education in their own, safe living environments.

If you feel that you or someone you love needs our help, there are two pathways through which LINC’s services can be accessed:

LINC Support Services is funded by the Bay of Plenty District Health Board to assist people who are experiencing mental health and addiction issues.

To receive funded assistance from LINC a person needs a referral from the Bay of Plenty District Health Board’s Community Mental Health team, or psychiatric inpatient unit. If you need to start this process, a GP visit is the first step.

After being referred, the person will work with a LINC Wellness Recovery Coach to develop a recovery plan, tailored to their individual needs.

The plan is then signed off, by mutual agreement, with the client, LINC and, when necessary, the Community Mental Health Team.

If you are not eligible for funding, but still feel you or your loved one would benefit from our support, you can also access our services privately.

We can provide as little or as much support as required, at an hourly rate.
